Woke up Sunday morning barely there. Didn’t really sleep the night before. Couldn’t stop thinking about all the things that could go wrong.
RD walked me thru the whole shebang of getting the trailer ready and then hitching her to the truck. He was great, he’s done it so many times now that he has a fool proof system worked out. From time to time, he’d try to reach in to help but I told him No, let me do it.
Finally, Toototabon was completely hitched to Pimblokto. I pulled her out of the garage and out of the ‘hood. Down the road and onto the highway. We stopped at a rest stop just on the other side of the city to do a quick check of all connections. Everything was good. Back onto the highway and on our way to our destination.
Just like with Itty Bitty, the View…about 5 miles down the road…
“I got this.”
Pulled into the campground, checked in and onto our site. I pulled her in and leveled her and then proceeded to unhitch Toototabon. From there, connect power & water.
I got this. This, I can do and that makes me really happy. I don’t really see a trip in the future all by myself, but it’s nice to know I can handle our rig in case I have to.
I’m looking forward to having RD right there as I hitch and unhitch for a few more times, then I’d like to do it solo and just have him come check my work.
